When the Tournament Chairman invokes Winter Rules for an STMGC tournament, the following conditions apply:

1. The ball may, without penalty, be marked, lifted, cleaned, and placed within 6 inches of where it originally lay, no closer to the hole, through the green. 
2. It must be placed in the same cut of grass.
3. A player may place his ball only once per stroke, after which the ball is in play.

Through the green is the whole area of the course except:

   a. The teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played; and 

   b. All hazards on the course.

Same cut of grass is defined as if in the rough the ball is placed onto the rough, in the fairway placed onto the fairway and so on through the green.
